Portable Restroom Service Trucks are non-coded vacuum units designed to service and maintain portable toilets and similar sanitation units placed at outdoor venues.
These units feature a vacuum pump, a debris tank, a fresh water tank and a water discharge pipe. Most tanks are manufactured in aluminum, with a few manufactured in steel.
Total capacity of tanks on portable restroom service units ranges from 400 gallons to 3,500 gallons, with several configurations of waste and fresh water tanks.
Most portable toilet service bodies feature total capacity ranging from 1,000 gallons to 2,000 gallons and are mounted on medium-duty chassis.
The larger debris tank is used to collect the waste pumped out of the portable toilets. Its capacity typically range from 750 gallons to over 1,800 gallons, depending on the truck’s size and design.
The smaller freash water tank holds clean water, often with a chemical or deodorizer mix, used to wash down and refill the portable toilet’s holding tank after the waste has been removed.
The vacuum pump creates suction to draw waste from the portable toilet’s holding tank through a large-diameter hose and into the truck’s waste tank.
These trucks are the backbone of the portable sanitation industry, providing on-site waste removal and cleaning services.
