Medium-/Heavy-Duty Grain Truck Bodies

Grain trucks are a specialized type of dump body with a three-piece swing gate at the rear that swings open to allow full width access to the body. The door at the center also features a small center grain trap to allow metered flow of grain.

Grain truck bodies are distinct from standard dump bodies or flatbeds due to their specific design for handling loose, flowable materials.

These bodies are open at the top, typically covered with a standard or an electric roll tarp and are raised using hydraulically operated hoist systems.

Grain truck bodies are used for transportation of agricultural commodities like grain, corn, soybeans, and other bulk materials. They are a crucial component of the agricultural supply chain, used by farmers to move crops from the field to storage bins, elevators, or processing facilities.

Grain bodies are most commonly made from steel or aluminum. Aluminum is a popular choice because it is lighter than steel, which allows for a greater payload while staying within legal weight limits. It is also corrosion-resistant.

Medium/heavy- and heavy-duty grain truck bodies is determined by the length and capacity of the body, and the chassis on which it is mounted.

Medium-/heavy-duty dump bodies include bodies mounted on Class 7 chassis.
