Lube Truck Bodies
Mobile service trucks, commonly known as lube trucks, are used for field equipment maintenance and can fuel, charge, oil, and handle waste oil.
Lube trucks include lube only and lube/fuel combination trucks. These units range up to 50 ft. in length, and are equipped with fresh oil and antifreeze tanks, as well as waste oil and waste antifreeze storage and handling capabilities.
Fuel tank capacity in lube trucks with fuel tanks ranges between 1,000 gallons and 2,500 gallons.
Lube trucks can be open, enclosed, and semi-enclosed, in which case the hose-reel compartment is enclosed.
Open lubrication bodies provide ready access to all pumping equipment and product tanks. |

Enclosed units have the appearance of a cargo van and help keep the product warm, provide protection from weather, and offer enhanced security. The enclosed design usually has a roll-up door at the rear for access to the reel compartment and a side door (or a door within the reel compartment) to give access to the interior. |
Lube trucks use pumps to move products from the tanks to the hose reels, and these pumps are either hydraulic or pneumatic.
Lube truck/bodies are mounted on medium- and heavy-duty chassis, with most mounted on Class 7 and Class 8 heavy-duty straight truck chassis.
