Combination Sewer Cleaners

Vacuum tank trucks are equipped with a heavy-duty vacuum unit and are designed to vacuum liquid or particles from a site and transport the load for disposal or re-use. These trucks are used by towns and municipalities for street and sewer cleanup, contaminated soil cleanup, etc.

Vacuum tank truck bodies which transport hazardous liquids are required to conform to specifications and codes established by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Coded vacuum tanks must conform to DOT407 or DOT412 specifications.

Vacuum tank truck body types include (i) Hydro Excavators; (ii) Industrial Vacuum Loaders; (iii) Combination Sewer Cleaners; and (iv) Coded Vacuum Tanks.

Combination Sewer cleaner bodies are units with pumping and jetting capabilities. These are used in sanitary sewers, storm sewers, water treatment plants and to clean water pipes. Jetting breaks up clogs and cleans pipes, while the combination unit removes debris from the system through vacuum pumping.

Sewer cleaner trucks are equipped with a debris tank, a water tank, a vacuum pump and a water pump.

The debris tank is manufactured in carbon steel or stainless steel, with capacities ranging from 3.5 cu. yd. to 16 cu. yd.

The water tank is manufactured in carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and polyethylene, in capacities ranging from 500 gallons to 2,000 gallons.
