Roll off

Roll off/Cable Hoists are designed to lift and lower heavy containers or dumpsters onto a truck bed.

Roll off hoists use a cable system that hooks onto a container and pulls it up onto the back of the truck, using hydraulics to winch the cables. The truck chassis has a tilt frame that is elevated by a hydraulic ram from a horizontal position on the truck to a position where the rear ends of the rails touch the ground to hoist the container up onto the rails. The driver must get out of the cab to attach the cable and work a separate set of controls on the outside of the truck for loading and unloading roll-off containers.

Roll off hoists are the most common type of hoists used in North America, particularly in the United States.

Roll off hoists are known for their ability to handle heavy loads and their versatility in different applications. These hoists are commonly used in waste management, construction, and other industries for transporting large, heavy materials.
